Few things excite me more than a good quality, reasonably priced makeup release. So when I received a few PR packages full of new L’Oreal and Maybelline goodies I made sure to try them out all at once.

First up was the Total Temptation Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette ($29.95) Which contains two colour stories. One is a range of warm shades in subtle gold and terracotta shades with a matching highlighter in gold. The other is a cooler colour range featuring purples and taupe, with its own complimentary cool toned silvery purple highlighter.

Some of the shades performed better than others, with one of the main detractor s being that many of the shades are a little dusty and dont have as much colour payoff as one may hope. The palette is best suited to a beginner or someone who wants a very quick and effortless wash of colour of the lids.

I also tried the mascara and brow product from the range and loved one out of the two to the point that I have almost finished one (you’ll have to watch the video to see which is which)

Next were the L’Oreal Life’s a Peach Blush and the Back to Bronze bronzer  (both $29.95) both from the very summery Wake Up & Glow collection. Both face powders were smooth and had the perfect amount of pigmentation for a soft, blended look on the face

Finally the L’Oreal La Vie En Glow Highlighting Palette dazzled with super pigmented colour and shine with just one swipe! The four shade worked well together on my light skin tone to give gorgeous glow.
