If you’re looking for some great entry point makeup for a makeup beginner or are really looking to get some quality product for less then I urge you to have a look at the Essence stand at your local target or Priceline.

Essence is a young and  innovative brand that is a firm favourite amongst young women around the world. They regularly release on trend collections of nail and face products for less than the price of a standard coffee.

There is a wide range of  products priced at a fraction of the cost of comparable brands. In my opinion though their eye and lip products are the ones that really shine.

I’ve been using the lash princess for about a week now and am really impressed with it. The formula is quite wet so it seems like one of those ones that will get better after a couple weeks. It actually reminds me of another super affordable mascara that people love (the Jordana best lash)

Special shout out to the super cute packaging, the little rubberized bows and lace up detailing are adorable and interesting and also prevent the tube from rolling around on the counter top.

 

I’m constantly surprised by the powder products from Essence. While the packaging is simple the products contain a reasonable amount of pigment and blend well without too much work. The silky touch blushes are worth looking at for affordable but good quality products.
