New! OPI Venice collection
Ciao Bella!
Here is whats new from OPI! The 2015 OPi Venice collection is made up 12 newly permanent shades as well as 3 limited edition shades. The collection as a whole is beautiful with a nice range of soft, muted colours as well as some deep dark shades and a couple of brighter shades. Considering this is a “fall/winter” collection for OPI Im surprised at some of the pastel shades in the collection.
Ive got my hands on 6 of the new permanent shades and thought I would swatch them for you.
OPI There In A Prosecco is a creamy beige almost almond type of shade which is very flattering on my skin tone. This one while quite a muted Autumn like shade will also look lovely in Spring with some other pastels. The formula on this was good, it was smooth and was just about opaque at two coats. Three made it completely opaque. It was quite forgiving on my uneven, damaged nails, hiding the ridges and creating a smooth, perfected finish. I want wine.
OPI Gelato On My Mind is my type of colour. Its that perennially on trend mint green/tiffany blue shade that looks lovely on all skin tones. The formula was good, but this was less forgiving on my damaged nails. Next time i wear this i will be sure to buff my nails first. Two coats were enough to get this looking lovely.
OPI Purple Palazzo pants is a very very pretty lilac. Again for an Autumn collection this shade looks a lot like a Spring colour, but no complaints from me. So far the first three shades in this post have been my favourite but if you really bugged me to choose I would have to choose this one. I don’t know what palazzo pants are but I want some.
OPI Oh Suzi Mio is a beautiful deep purple which I found incredibly difficult to capture but can be best compared to a lovely deep eggplant. Two coats were more than enough to get this looking pretty opaque and glossy.
OPI My Gondola Or Yours isn’t quite black. Its an extremely dark grey which completely looks black in these photos but is just one step down from black in certain lights. Its super glossy, no top coat was applied for these photos and only needed two coats to become opaque.
OPI I cannoli wear OPI is the shade i desperately wanted to love. Its a shade that I would pick up and buy in a heartbeat but when applied on my nails I just didnt dig it. Its a very very light creamy grey shade that I swear I will try again and love eventually.
The OPI Venice collection is now available in major department stores and selected salons and retailers.
