New! Pure luxury from The Body Shop!
A couple of months ago I was lucky enough to attend a super luxe launch party for some seriously exciting (and top secret) products from The Body Shop. We were all kept in suspense until three beautiful new collections were released; Spa Of The World, Oils Of Life and Voyage.
The Spa Of The World collection is based around three “rituals” that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
The Relaxing Ritual offers a perfect way to unwind and reconnect with your body. It starts with an African Ximenia Scrub to exfoliate and nourish the skin. The Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay helps to draw out impurities and clarify the skin before you jump into the tub filled with the Egyptian Milk and Honey bath (so creamy) Finish the ritual with the French Lavender Massage Oil (best enjoyed with a friend) and supreme moisture from the Japanese Camelia Body Butter.
The Revitalising Ritual is designed to get the best out of your skin. It starts with the Dead Sea Salt Scrub to help exfoliate the skin while helping to improve circulation. The skin firming ingredients of the Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay are next to help further cleanse and tighten the skin. Finally the Thai Lemongrass Massage Oil is to be used working on pressure points to help invigorate the body and mind.
The last ritual; Blissful Ritual is all about luxury! It starts off with the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil which is a lovely fragrant oil to be applied to skin and hair to make it supple and lustrous. The Hawaiian Kukui Body Cream contain Kukui oil which has been long used in Polynesia to moisturise the skin with essential fatty acids. Finally, another massage oil in the form of the Tahitian Orchid Massage Oil finishes the ritual with a sweet smelling finish.
The Oils of Life collection is based around a collection of 3 pure seed oils sourced sustainably from around the world. The two products I have been trialling from the collection are the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil and the Intensely Revitalising Gel Cream. I have enjoyed using them at night as part of my regular skin care routine and have found the products, especially the Gel Cream super nourishing. The Facial Oil isn’t too heavy or greasy and works well along with a regular moisturiser. The two of the products together were a little heavy for my skin but those with more mature or especially dry skin may find them perfect.
The third and final collection released from The Body Shop was the Voyage collection which contains a number of travel inspired fragrances for your body. It was redesigned and relaunched with the new Italian Summer Fig fragrance (which you may have seen in my favourites post last month) which joins some of the classic fragrances such as the Atlas Mountain Rose (one of my personal favourites and Japanese Cherry Blossom.
Im really enjoying this new “luxe” direction from The Body Shop! The new Voyages and Spa Of The World collections are available instore and online now. The Oils Of Life collection will be released later this year.
