Winter hydration essentials
Winter! Harsh, cold weather and indoor heating can cause havoc with our skin which is why we need to switch up our routines to include some richer and more hydrating products to bring the life back.
Here are some of my winter hydration essentials.
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask is thick and emollient helping to create a barrier between your delicate lips and the environment. Help treat chapped and wind burnt lips by applying the lip mask before bed to reveal softer lips in the morning.
A serum like Snoxin from Indeed Labratories helps to boost the hydrating powers of your favourite moisturiser. Applied as part f your evening routine skin is left ready to soak up moisturiser and get skin ready for a good nights rest.
YOu might decide that a whole new moisturiser may be needed for these colder, dryer months. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost range has a suprisingly light texture but leaves the skin feeling super hydrated. The gel based moisturiser contains Hyaluronic Acid which holds over 1,000 times its weight in water helping to create smoother looking skin.
For whole body moisturising a dry oil such as the Moringa Beautifying oil helps to smoothen the skin, reducing the appearence of wrinkles and dryness while being weightless and also covering the skin in a beautiful scent.
One of the first areas to show signs of dryness due to weather changes is the undereye area. The Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream is thick and luxurious while also being frangrance free ad safe for sensitive skin. Avocado oil helps to nourish the skin with the added benefit of being organic
We cant forget that just like our skin our hair also suffers from the dryness and damage associated with climate control, a dryer atmosphere and increased heat treating. A leave -in treatment such as the leave in creme from Bhave can help to nourish and protect the hair. This virtually weightless product also aids in blow drying.
