Winter nails traditionally consist of dark berries and burgundies and while they are gorgeous and tend to suit most skin tones its also nice to mix it up with some neutrals and colours. When I was sent this collection of Faby Nail Laquers the nice mix of shades created an instant winter nail wardrobe.

Faby nail lacquers are born in Italy and pride themselves on being the big 5 free, that is they’re free from DBP,  Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin & Camphor, Their are a wide range of colours including seasonal collections.

My go to shade of late has been the gorgeous Dessert Rose, Faby have hit the nail on the head with the perfect neutral. The application is smooth and the polishes are almost gel like in their consisitency. In my swatch I have used two coats, but three would have been better. All the polishes are extremely glossy once dry even without top coat.

Every Woman is Chic is dark, infact it looks almost black in the bottle and in some lights even on the nail but is in fact a very dark purple. Again, its super glossy and is truly one of those classic winter shades.

Plastic jewels and neon lights is a gorgeous teal. I find this shade looks great with lots of stacked rings and nails kept fairly short. two coats are here and it is quite opaque.

Eyes of Waterlily is another of my favourites, I know what you’re thinking Pastels in winter? The purple shade is quite muted and almost a dusty purple on the nails. Its mighty pretty and feminine. 

Velvet Touch is your classic burgundy winter shade. I love the way that these shades look against my pale skin but they look equally as good on darker skin tones.

Even after watching all five shades my natural nails looked good and stain free (my cuticles on the other hand are not dealing well with the cold weather). Ive found that the wear time on the polishes is quite good (I’m on day four of wearing Plastic Jewels and Neon lights and while there is little bit of tip wear the nails still look good, the top coat is still shiny and there is no chipping or peeling to be seen. The price of these rival other leading brands but if you’re very cautious of using chemicals then these are a great alternative.
