Since its launch last year Mecca’s in house brand MECCA MAX have been expanding their range to include not only seasonal products but also good staple elements.

I recently had the chance to try out some of the base products such as the MECCA MAX Life Proof Long wear Foundation, Life Proof Cream Concealer and the Life Proof Super set powder.

Over the week and a half that I trialled the foundation ($32) I found that the formula worked really well to give sheer to medium coverage that looked and felt really natural. It wore well throughout the day when paired with a powder and other products built on the foundation really well.

The slippery, dimethicone based formula of the MECCA MAX Life Proof Long wear foundation helped it lay smoothly on the skin without accentuating pores or fine lines. The main citicism of the foundation has nothing to do with the product itsself but the measly shade selection (there are only 8 shades of foundation and 5 shades of the corresponding concealer available)

One of the products in the Life Proof range that really impressed me was the new MECCA MAX Life Proof Super Set Invisible Pressed Powder.
