Colourpop Fem Rosa SHE Eyeshadow Palette
In the past Ive sung the praises of the super affordable makeup brand ColourPop, their lip products are amongst some of the best on the market at a really accessible price. ColourPop followed up their incredible success by releasing pressed powder shadows in a wide range of colours and textures in single pans as well as palettes.

ColourPop once more joined forced with American actress and model Karrueche Tran to collaborate on a beautiful feminine collection named the FEM ROSA collection.
The eyeshadow palette is the most popular element of the collection and is currently available (on its third restock) online now. The palette is definitely beautiful and photogenic featuring 12 pans of Metallic, Matte, Satin shades in Neutrals, Pinks, Golds, Reds and Purples.
The first thing that attracted me to the palette was the stunning packaging of the palette, the deep red roses in the palette are incredibly attractive and quite different from other products on the market. I had to order this, immediately.
If you have purchased ColourPop shadows before, you will know that the pan size is similar to standard MAC or Makeup Geek. The pans in the ColourPop palettes are considerably smaller at 0.85g per pan compared to the 1.5g of regular ColourPop shadows
left to right; Chick, Dainty, babe, Ladylike
The Fem Rosa SHE Palette contains the following shades
Ladylike: metallic soft champagne
Babe: satin light peachy pink
Dainty: metallic pinky taupe
Chick: metallic subtle gold
Left to right Filly, Gal, Empress, Mademoiselle
Mademoiselle: metallic rose gold
Gal: metallic red with copper duochrome
Empress: metallic mid-tone pink plum
Filly: metallic rusty orange
Left to right: Damsel, Missy, Dear, Duchess
Dear: matte warm rose
Missy: matte deep burgundy
Damsel: matte smokey violet
Duchess: matte dusty coral
As a whole the palette performs quite well. The mattes blend moderately well and while they have a little kick back in the pan, have minimal fall out. The satins work well with a flat brush and also blend quite well. Some of the metallics are a little chunky and have quite a dimethicone feeling formula, these applied best with either a wet brush or a finger.
In my opinion the palette is missing a couple of elements which would make it a more complete and comprehensive palette. I often found myself wishing there were a couple more matte shades such as a neutral, mid toned brown (for transition) or a cream in order to blend other shades out instead of some of the shimmers in the palette. I sometimes found it difficult to create a look without dipping into other palettes.
The Fem Rosa SHE Palette is available now for $US16

November 20, 2017I completely agree with everything you said! It is definitely missing some crucial shades that would just complete this palette. I do love the colours, but I get those moments where I would need to reach for another palette to complete a look.
