August was a month of sunny days with icy winds and a crazy workload here at LNL. Things at work amped up in a major way as I took on a pretty demanding role all the while trying and testing a huge range of makeup, haircare and skincare products.

There was an influx of drugstore makeup after I attended the Priceline beauty prescription live event. This event is run twice a year and is designed to introduce media to a lot of the new launches coming up as well as all the best sellers from the last six months and upcoming trends.

In terms of products I fell in love with two eyeshadow palettes which are from very different but both very affordable makeup brands. One was the gorgeous Lid Lingerie Palette from NYX cosmetics. Designed to compliment the ever popular Lip Lingerie shades the Lid Lingerie palette contains 6 large pans of matte neutral shades. Ive loved using these shades subtly for every day use.

Ive also loved the ColourPop eyeshadow palette I created by selecting the shades I really like. Of course its another neutral palette #neutralsforlife and contains a bunch of warm shades in different finishes.  Again great for work when I just want a sheer wash of shimmery colour on the lids.

I had a really fun time at the launch of a really cool perfume. Kenzo World has become a staple in my fragrance collection. The event was a fun night and was just as cool and quirky as I expected a Kenzo launch to be.
