Packing for an overseas trip can be stressful (although I must admit that I do enjoy going through my collection and picking out my faves) The idea of using only ONE palette while away as well as only a handful of other products means that the makeup we bring with us has to be high quality and multi purpose. Our choices have to be made carefully

The Tarte Tartelette Tease Eyesadow Palette is one of my favourites and contains 6 shades that work perfectly together to create a number of subtle or more dramatic looks. It is a limited edition palette and can be a bit difficult to track down but is still available on the Sephora US website.

The Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye and Cheek Palette contains a range of face and eye shades, and contains all the face colour products needed to achieve a light, pretty summer look or something a little deeper. Powders in this palette are super smooth and pigmented and the eye shadow shades in particular give intense pay off.

The Makeup Forever Pro sculpting palette is elegant in its simplicity. There are four ultra blendable shades designed to help chisel out and contour the face. While the palette is small for the price, only the smallest amount of the pigmented cream colour needs to be used to achieve a more sculpted look.

And now something from the drugstore. NYX’s arrival to Priceline means that a whole lot of new products will be hitting shelves soon. One that is new to the scene is the Go To Palette. This easy to carry palette contains 3 face products in the form of three ultra pigmented shades (please use a light hand on these) and six creamy shadows. There is almost all you need here to create an entire face of makeup.
