Feelin’ Francey – Avene
Early on in June I was lucky enough to be invited to learn all about the healing properties of the thermal waters of Avene. Avene is a town that was founded before the 12th century and has long been a place of rest and recuperation for the people of France. Over the years many people have travelled to Avene to take advantage of the serene environment and purest of waters.
Skin conditions have been shown to improve with treatment using the thermal waters of the region. Unfortunately not all of us have the time or money to make a regular visit to the town, we can get the next best thing however with the water being used in a wide range of skin care items from the brand Avene.
Ive been a long time lover of the Hydrance range from Avene but have only just learned about the acne fighting range from the brand; Cleanance, the adult acne focussed range uses the skin calming waters to help deal with the redness and soreness of acne while products like the TriAcneal Expert contains patented bacteria fighting ingredients (Diolényl) to help fight the spread of blemishes as well as a more powerful derivative of Vitamin A (think surcharged RetinolA) helps to break down impurities, reduce visible scars and make skin look younger.
Personally for me, and my sensitive skin the Avene Skin Recovery Cream has become a new favourite. The rich cream helps to soothe any areas of flakiness and redness (hello perioral dermatitis) and keep the affected areas hydrated.
As mentioned, the Hydrance range has been a personal favourite of mine for quite a while. In addition to the Avene Hydrance Optimale Serum I have also been enjoying the Hydrance Optimale Rich Hydrating Cream, this will most probably be far too rich for the summer months but for now as the icy winds blow in Sydney its been perfect.
The Avene brand is available in Chemists across the nation as well as Priceline stores.

July 4, 2016I've never tried any Avene products but they do sound absolutely lovely! I've tried the thermal water from La Roche Posay and I really liked it! I do like the sound of the TriAcneal Expert product, sounds like it would work for me as I'm very acne prone and have the acne scars to prove it!
