Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

I really didn’t think the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Collaboration was going to get any better than the eyeshadow palette but I was very wrong. A few weeks after the eyeshadows were released the blush palette dropped and a frenzy ensued to get a hold of it.
I had no real intention of picking it up. I really liked the eyeshadow palette and didnt really need more blush (imagine that) but a couple of days after it was released I saw it in Mecca Maxima and managed to have a touch of one of the pans (amongst the crowd of other hands poking and prodding it) and was impressed with the super wearable shades in the palette but also the texture of the product in the pan.
So as a birthday gift to myself last month I picked up the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Blush Palette and filmed my first impressions review. As you will see I was super impressed with the texture of the blushes as they were both incredibly soft as well as being pigmented and smooth on application.
I liked the soft tones of all the warm shades and the mix of wearable hues with some brighter pops of colour.
After wearing it for almost a month I have fallen more and more in love with the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. The palette includes six shades of face powders ranging from blushes, highlights and a subtle bronzer. They are super blendable and can be used on their own or together to create a multitude of lovely looks. Obviously once blended into the skin the shades are a lot less intense than in the finger swatches and what you have is an incredibly pretty and fairly natural look from most of these shades.
The powders wear for a good amount of time and dont go splotchy or uneven over the course of the day. If I were going to point out any negatives it would be that the pans kick up quite a bit of powder due to the softness and the blush pans are ruined with brush marks from the first use (#firstworldbeautybloggerproblems anyone?) In addition to this if you were thinking of picking this up as a collectors item (the packaging is divine) then you will find it very difficult to keep from using it.
In terms of pricing what you get for your money is six (smaller pans of) limited edition shades for the price of two full sized pans of the Urban Decay permanent blushes in a limited edition, beautifully designed and manufactured casing with a large mirror and magnetic closure.
I trully believe that the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Blush Palette tops the eyeshadow palette from the same collection in the areas of texture and blendability. If you liked the eyeshadow palette like I did then you will most probably love this blush palette too.
The Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Blush Palette ($82) is still available for purchase.
