March Beauty Favourites
March has passed which means a few things; firstly the weather here in Sydney has finally cooled down, and secondly I am now a year older (there are a whole bunch of mixed feelings about that)
My favourites list this month is pretty makeup heavy but there are a few skincare items and a fragrance as well to round out what I have been using most and loving this month.
Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette
I hope that by now you will have seen my review and (absolute) first impressions of the new Too Faces Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette. I recieved it mid month and have been using it for the remainder of the month. I love the mix of warm, mid toned shades to create beautifully blended looks as well as those shimmery beauties to create pretty pops of colour on the lids.

MAC Mehr
I purchased MAC Mehr at the end of February as I was after something to match the shade of my soar lipliner (my absolute favourite) Ive been wearing Mehr almost non stop since. I love that it has that nineties vibe while being a little more rosey than your basic brown and a little deeper than your average nude. Its matte but comfortable and wears for a long period of time.
My skin has been playing up lately, Something (and Im not sure what) has been causing me to break out on and around my chin and neck. Add to that a mild bout of perioral dermatitis and Ive been in need of a super simple but good moisturiser, something that both soothes and moisturises the skin. Ive found that in the Mario Badescu Butter Milk moisturiser. This small squeezy bottle doesnt promise the world but does contain a nice, moisturing lotion which leaves skin looking and feeling fresh.
Origins Drink Up 10 Minute mask
For some extra hydration I have been loving the Origins Drink Up Mask. I own the original over night mask and love it but wanted something I could apply when I just wake up, leave on while I get dressed and remove just before I do my face. I use this once a week and love how soft my skin is afterwards.
Aerin fragrance – Gardenia Rattan
My husband has good taste, this was a beautiful birthday gift from him mid month and he chose really well, he knows my love of rich white flower florals and chose the Gardenia Rattan fragrance in the aerin collection. I wont be using this every day as it is quite pricey and very special to me but a little really does go a long way.
These pencils are my new obsession, they make the process of contouring so fool proof. This trio of pencils contain a contour, highlight and bronzer all in a super portable form. But their convenient format are not the best thing about the product. The formula of these are superb, the pencils have unbelievable slip and simply melt once they touch the skin. Despite their intense pigmentation the shades blend really well to create seamless shading across larger areas, like the cheeks or pinpointed contour on areas of the nose.
Laura Mercier Transluscent powder
It took me a while to jump on this bandwagon, and Im glad that I finally got there. The translucent powder is so finely milled that it feels lovely and silky on the face. It sets foundation and concealer beautifully but leaves no trace of cake face and infant becomes invisible once spritzed lightly with a setting spray
