Whether you’re spending the day sweltering in the city with the crowds, hanging with the fam and enjoying a pav or enjoying the beach this Summer it is essential that you keep looking and feeling cool.As our summer comes to an end I thought I would share with you my little secret to keeping cool while still looking good.

To me, nothing embodies the cool, casual vibe of the Australian Summer more than an easy breezy shift dress or smock. Highly versatile, easy to accessorise and good at covering all those sins a light and loose dress can take you beachside to party effortlessly with just a change up of shoes.

I love wearing them super casually with sneakers for a day of picnicking or with some strappy flats for lunch with the girls. Depending on the hemline a pair of heels can bring them into the evening.

High cut necklines look great with statement necklaces while beachy waves in the hair and glowing skin with minimal makeup is always a good idea to try and beat the summer heat.
