Tartelette Amazonian clay matte palette
The Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette is a beautiful and sophisticated eyeshadow palette containing twelve matte designed to give a range of super wearable looks from soft and subtle to dramatic and smokey.
Each row contains shades which are meant to be used together with liner, lid, and crease shadow shades all working together.
And as with most Tarte products the shadows are formulated without sulfates, parabens and mineral oils.
The Tartelette palette is designed with the every woman in mind. The shades are named to celebrate and empower unique women such as “super mom” “natural beauty” and “best friend”
The shadows are lovely and smooth and swatch beautifully on the fingers, but tend to sheer out on the skin. The dark and light shades are the best in this palette while some of the mid tones are a little less pigmented.
All shades are able to be built up to create a deeper look or used lightly for a sheer neutral wash of colour.
The packaging on this is gorgeous with its gold interior, pretty purple exterior and large mirror. Its sleek and portable and perfect to take away with you when travelling.
The Tartelette palette is perfect for those with more mature skin or for ladies who are a little scared of shimmer and glitter (which can look ageing) The shades can be used together for an all matte look or combined with a highlighting shade (try using your fave highlighter or illuminator to add a little shine.
Here are the shadows which as mentioned are placed in rows which contain liner, lid, and crease shadows all meant to compliment each other.
The first row contains four shades perfect to give a natural, neutral brown eye look. Free Spirit is your basic cream which is great for laying down all over the lid as a base to help with blending. Force of Nature is a gorgeous mid toned shade perfect for a transition shade. Dreamer and Multitasker are deeper browns perfect for popping in the crease and outer v to create a little more drama.
The second row contains some cooler shades with with grey and purple undertones. Caregiver is a light pink, great for highlighting the brow bone. Natural Beauty is a pretty mauve with grey undertones, Best friend is a little deeper and is more of an orchid purple and is a perfect compliment to natural beauty. Lastly Bombshell is a great dark purple perfect for smoking up a look
The last row contains super mom, an off white which is creamy and smooth, Wanderer; a warm toned transition shade, Power player is a flattering taupe which is very on trend at the moment and Fashionista is a deep, pigmented matte black shade which is perfect to use as a liner.
The Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette is available exlusively from Sephora in Australia and retails for $67

December 22, 2015I have a post on this palette as well! Twinnies! I have it strange that the shades swatch so poorly on the arm but are actually quite pigmented on the lid. I suppose matte shades have a tendency to do this. I haven't found myself reaching for this palette a lot just because I always tend to go for shimmer shadows but it is quite beautiful and well presented!

January 2, 2016Great minds think alike!
I have been using it on and off but usually add a bit of shimmer from another palette

February 14, 2016I really like my Tartlette palette too but I do agree that some shades end to sheer out quite a bit when blended. It still makes a great everyday palette though and I can't wait for the Tartlette In Bloom palette to finally come out here :)
