Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators
Eyebrow extraordinaire Anastasia Soare has become a makeup maven in recent years. The Anastasia Beverly Hills brand now touts an amazing range of lip and brow products and recently has forayed into producing IT product of the moment; highlighters.
While overseas I managed to get my hands on two of the recently released Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators in the shades Peach Nectar and Starlight and have been mesmerised with them since getting my little hands on them.
In true Anastasia Beverly Hills style they’re amazingly beautiful, which sleek, simple black packaging and the most gorgeous art deco inspired embossing into the powder. In the pan these shades shift and shimmer and swatch beautifully with intense pigment and smooth consistency.
Peach Nectar is crazy pigmented its a shimmery peach shade which shifts gold/peach dramatically in the light (see above). In reality this shade might be a little dark for me as a stand alone highlighter as it throws quite a lot of pigment but used as a blush its lovely and with a very light hand i can use it on the high points of my face.
Starlight is more of a traditional highlight for pale old me. Again this shifts from a white to champagne gold in the pan and on the skin. This one reminds me a lot of NARS Albatross but is far more pigmented and less powdery.
At $28 USD the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators are not exactly cheap but are actually good value when you consider products of a similar size and quality.
