Spotlight on It Cosmetics
I have to admit something; I am obsessed with cosmetics brand It Cosmetics. Like not just “oh I really like it” obsessed but well and truly obsessed.
Since getting my hands on some of these products from new to Australia brand It Cosmetics I have been neglecting some of my long time favourites.
Whats so wonderful about them you might ask? Its simple.
It Cosmetics have managed to achieve what many a company have tried to do. They have managed to present to us products that look like makeup and act like skincare. Most products include anti-aging ingredients such as serums and moisturisers. The line was formed with the help of leading plastic surgeons.
Ive accumulated quite a collection from the brand and thought I would finally share my thoughts on them.
One of of the standout products in my opinion is the Your Skin But Better CC+ cream. This foundation substitute is one of the most high coverage cc creams I’ve tried and gives a lovely natural but even look to the skin. Applied with my makeup sponge the Your Skin But Better CC+ cream covers blemishes and brightens the complexion. In addition to being a product that performs well as makeup it also contains a whopping 50+ sunscreen as well as an anti-aging hydrating serum. I’m coming to end of my first full, sized tube after going through three mini sizes. I love that the full sized product has a pump which dispenses the perfect amount of product for me. I will definitely be repurchasing this product soon.
If you’re a regular reader you would know that I deemed the It Cosmetics Tight Line Mascara the best mascara I had ever used (along with its sister Hello Lashes) I won’t go into too much detail as I’ve covered it before but I strongly suggest you try this unassuming little product and be prepared to be shocked by the lift and definition that this skinny little brush provides.
The Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector is fairly new to my collection and is a salmon based concealer that helps to mask or “correct” any grey or purple tinges to your under eye area. Used before foundation and regular concealer it helps to neutralise the darkness leaving behind a more even canvas for your makeup. A word of warning that this does need powdering to set as it’s quite emollient but if you’re a fan on the famous bobbi brown product then you will most likely enjoy this one as well.
Another product that I am seriously obsessed with is the little Luxe High Performance Hydrating Eyeshadow Trio in Pretty In Nudes. I’m enjoying this so much and have found these three shades so versatile that this might be the only eye shadow I take when travelling in the near future. The cool toned taupe is my favourite and can be warmed up with some of the pink to create a few different looks. The shadows are smooth and pigmented without too much fallout.
Im a little obsessive about blushes so when I saw that the CC + Radiance Ombré Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi had three distinctive shades in it I was (embarrassingly) excited. One end of the pan is a nice deep almost dusty plummy pink while the other end is a light shimmery shade. I love that the range in this allows you to use it as a blush and a highlight meaning you can eliminate another product from your travel makeup. Swirling the shades together produces a radiant mid toned pink which would suit many different skin tones. This is pretty pigmented and soft and suggest using a light hand to avoid the old clown face syndrome.
Other products of note include the Your Lips But Better Waterproof Lipliner stains which are smooth, pigmented and stay put. The lip pencil actually stains lips providing long wear. The end of the pencil contains its own little sharpener.
Im really enjoying these products and love that they’re finally available instore in Australia (only in Sydney at this point ?) I’ve already put together a “wishlist” of products that I really want to get my hands on including the full sized Pretty palette and some of the much hyped brushes that look so soft and luxurious.
It Cosmetics is available exclusively in store at Sephora.

June 22, 2015Love the look of your blog Rosa - it's gorgeous! I only own the CC cream in the sample size and I am so close to running out, it's stressing me out. I love it so much, I'll have to find somewhere to purchase online. I'd love to try more of this brand, though - everything looks amazing! x
