Rimmel London Oh My Gloss
New from Rimmel London Oh My Gloss lip glosses promise 6 hours of glossy colour in a range of wearable shades.
Last week I got my hands on these newly released glosses and decided to swatch them up for you.
The glosses are super shiny and most shades are fairly sheer. By themselves they are great for younger girls who don’t want a whole lot of colour but want the wet look given by a good gloss.
Their strength though is that when worn over lipstick they add another dimension of colour and texture that lasts for hours and hours.
Love Bug is the lightest of all the shades and is a fairly transparent pale pink. There is a little bit of shimmer there and it looks pretty natural on my fairly pigmented lips.
Purr glossy cat has slightly a little more pigment than love bug but is still fairly transparent. In the tube it looks like a nude shade and when a couple of layers the colour comes through.
Glossaholic is verging on pink and is one of the nicer glosses as there isn’t any shimmer and it provides a pretty, neutral lip to pair with a more dramatic eye.
Pinup is a bright fuchsia pink and look so so glossy on the lips. There is much more pigment in this one than others.
Snog is a mistuned pink which is suitable for most skin tones. It has flecks of shimmer in it and is very reflective.
Ooh la la is a pink red, like the others the shine and gloss in this shade is amazing.
Rebel red looked like it was going to be the most pigmented of the lot but on the lips still looks fairly understated and wearable.
If you’re into sheer glosses then you will love the Rimmel London Oh My Gloss lip glosses however if you’re expecting the finish and pigmentation of the liquid lipsticks that are oh so popular at the moment then you might be a little disappointed.
They’re a pretty sticky gloss which is to be expected from a long wear product. In my testing I found that the shine wore off after about 5 hours while the tint from the gloss stuck around for a few hours later. For me this is amazing wear time from a gloss.
