I don’t know about you, but as an adult I feel like there are a lot less surprises in life. As a child i loved being surprised by a gift or something a little extra.

When I received these new lipsticks from You by Sia I received one of those rare little surprises.

You by Sia is one of Sydney”s leading destinations for skin and body treatments and they have recently branched out to develop and release cosmetics.

I was sent three shades of the lipstick; the super shocking orange Jazzi Jackie, Neon hot pink Kinky Krista and a slightly tamer but still bright pink coral Jammin Julia.

The three that I were sent were all bright shades, with a slightly shimmery finish. Personally I don’t find myself reaching for shimmery lipsticks all that often but if matte is not your thing then you will definitely like these. The finish is also quite sheer and provides a wash  rather than opaque colour.

The formula of these is good, they’re quite buttery and smooth and have good lasting power for this type of formula. They contain a blend of oils that are designed to hydrate the lips while providing sheer colour.

BUT! I promised you a surprise and here it is! The coloured base of the lipstick tube actually clicks off and reveals a little pot of coordinating gloss! Surprise!!

The gloss in these is actually really nice and adds another dimension to the lipsticks, they’re not too sticky and are quite soft and creamy. The pots are quite small and are best suited to using a lip brush for application but in a bind you could definitely use your  finger to dab it onto the lips.
