May Faves – Makeup, skincare and nails
Brrrr Winter is no longer coming! Its here! And we have been bunkering down here at LNL with lots of soup (check out @lipsticknlinguine on Instagram for lots of soup porn!) cozy knits and cat cuddles. Keep reading to find out what I have been loving in terms of makeup, skincare and nails
On the makeup front Ive been enjoying muted tones, lots of neutrals with the occasiona pop of colour. My skin has gone a little haywire with all the heating and cold winds and so moisture was very important this month. Here are the products Ive reached for again and again this month
You should know that Im writing this post from the warmth and comfort of my bed.. YOLO!
Im completely obsessed with this Pretty in Nudes Trio from what is fast becoming my favourite brand ItCosmetics. The taupey shade in particular is gorgeous on its own used lightly over the entire lid and then concentrated in the outer v and crease. I seriously cant wait for Sephora Australia to have an online store so some of you interstate beauties can get access to this brand!
Also from Sephora (sorry) is this double sided lip pencil from NUDESTIX, If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen be giving major love to this brand this month. These pencils are so smooth and pigmented and I think Mystic (the darker shade in the pencil) might just be my favourite MLBB shade ever
The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry collection is in store but is selling out fast. My picks from the collection are the body scrub and shower gel. This collection smells so much like sweet fresh raspberries. Get on it before its gone.
After umming and aaahing over this for literally years I finally bit the bullet and purchased the Alpha H Liquid Gold. Why did I wait so long! This liquid like lotion is amazing at revealing fresh and new looking skin overnight. Take care when using this is the warmer months particularly if you will be in direct light as the skin will be more sensitive to light after wards.
Have you tried Benefits latest blush? I haven’t used it as a blush booster yet, but by itself and Im loving the warm peachy glow its giving my face. As it gets colder and my skin gets paler Im finding that Im needing warmer shades to try and bring some life back into my complexion. This blush is suer blendable and gives a nice finish.
Lastly is a little brightness in the form of Violet from Kester Black. It was really long wearing on me and gave a lovely pop of colour amongst all the taupes, blacks and greys of my winter wardrobe.
And there are my May favourites! What have you been loving in May, If you’ve published a May Faves post link it below so I can check it out!
