Summer is gone, thats for sure and while I am missing the long and warm days I am seriously looking forward to all those great winter wardrobe staples such as layers and knits and hats oh my!

Another winter staple I am looking forward to is pulling on my favourite ankle boots with my jeans or tights. Theres is just something so luxurious and sophisticated about a good pair of stylish boots that can make a simple outfit look so polished.

Traditionally Ive stuck to two main colours when purchasing boots just because of their versatility and thus value for money; black and brown. However, this year Im considering expanding my palette and have become enamoured with dusty hues of blue and grey, especially in the ankle boot style.

Here are some of the boots I am currently coveting.

Im so in love with these powdery blue boots by Mollini, I love the extra bit of detail around the ankle that give them a really delicate and feminine touch. These would look great with a skirt or with cropped jeans. Oh they’re sooo pretty!

These Sandy Zip Boots from Cotton On give you the look for less.  They’re a soft grey colour and have a  nice little wooden heel to give a little bit of height! Plus at under $50 you could definitely get these in more than one colour
