Have you seen that image going around the social media channels about it being March already? Thats exactly how I feel! How can we be a quarter of the way through the year already!? I feel like I’ve only just finished cleaning the house after all the Christmas festivities.
The month of March saw my birthday come and go with minimal fuss made (as per my request) and over here on the blog I tried out and shared my thoughts on lots of new products as well as a post about my favourite trend; purple lips! March saw many of us go drugstore crazy over the Priceline 40% sale (can you believe I didnt purchase a thing)
Behind the scenes Ive been trying out some new (to me) haircare as well as some new collections from OPI and Sally Hansen and some new skincare from Modelco (all to bee reviewed on the blog soon). Im trying to do a massive cull of skincare ie use up or throw out all those bottles and tubs with a little bit of product left in them, which I understand is totally a first world problem to have!!
There are quite a few products that I have come to rely upon this month, this list is by no means exhaustive but contains some of my monthly favourites.
Coming up on the blog will be review of a selection of products from the Bhave professionl hair care system. Until then I thought I would share with you the RESCUE shampoo and conditioner from the line. Im loving that this brand is free from the nasties while performing really well to keep my damaged hair looking great. Ive been using these products for most of the month and am seeing some benefits already. Keep an eye out for more information in coming weeks.
The Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream featured in my Autums favourites which was published on the Yahoo 7 lifestyle page at the beginning of the month. The Cuticle Cream is infact more of a balm consistency and not only smells amazing but also is great at keeping cuticles and nails feeling and looking good when used regularly. Massage some on before bed to have soft and moisturised looking finger tips by morning.
I only just showcased this covetted palette on the blog a week or so ago but hve been using it all month long. I must admit that i favour the highlight shades more than the contour shades, Im really only using the middle contour shade as the others feel a little warm for me but I a using the palette daily to finish off my look. I think the price point is amazing considering the quality of the product.
I was sent the Restylane Day Cream as part of the Priceline BeautyClick program and have really been enjoying it as a daily moisturiser. I prticularly like the no mess, hygenic pump on the product as well as the fresh (cucumber?) fragrance to the product.
The Kiehl’s washable cleansing milk is an old favourite that I rediscovered this year. Its my cleanser of choice when using my Clarisonic. Its non foaming, non drying and doesnt contain my arch nemesis SLS. I like that its super rinsable and its feels moisturising. Give this a try if youre looking for a new cleanser.
You will have seen that last week I published a post about the best mascaras Ive ever used. The Itcosmetics Hello Lashes is one of the two featured in that post. I love that it gives both volume and length while still separating lashes. The formula is great with minimal smudging and no flaking. I will definately be picking another one of these up when I head into Sephora next time.
Nars Claudia is starting to rival Angela as my favourite Audacious lipstick shade. I love how creamy and opaque these lip colours are. While the price is a little hefty the quality is faultless. Claudia is a cool toned pink, its bright enough to add a pop of colour but still slightly muted so that it doesnt look neon. Its sooo perfect.
The Maybelline Fit Me concealers were new to me this month and I have been using them non stop since purchasing. The medium shade is dark enough to conceal my under eye circle but too dark for spot concealing so i need to use two on a daily basis. Theyre creamy and long wearing without being too drying and dont crease too badly on me. Theyre amaing quality from a drugstore product.
The Schwartzkopf Extra Care BB Hair Beautifier was sent to me as part of the Priceline Beauty Click program as well. Its a leave in conditioner of sorts which leaves hair feeling smooth and tangle free. Hair gains movement and is silkier after use. Its not sticky or noticeably heavy but does make a difference to how my hair felt and looked after using a small amount rubbed through dry hair.
I’ve been loving the super soft pink of this blush by Arbonne called Ballet. It’s super soft in texture and is a nice subtle way to finish off a look. Its the first ever product Ive ever tried by this brand and i was impressed with the quality of the product. It was sent to me some time ago but its only recently that Ive really fallen in love with it.
I LOVEE the Bhave shampoo! I've been using mine the last month aswell. I feel like the smell is a flashback for me of something I used a while ago & it lathers so so well! x
