Five products to bring the moisture back
By now you will have seen all my bragging and carry on about our holidays last week. Well while we have been home for a few days now the aftereffects of the sun, sand and sea have hung around leaving me with thirsty skin and parched hair.
So the last couple of days i have relied on a handful of products to help me rehydrate and get back to “normal”
1. Evo The Great Hydrator
All that pool water as well as the islands “hard water” has meant that my hair got mighty funky last week, for the most part i kept it tied up to hide that certain “crispiness” that comes from lack of care. One of the first things i did once we got home (unpacking can wait) was jump in the shower and after shampooing apply a thick layer of this evo and leaving it in a few minutes while i took care of all the other essentials. Even after five minutes my hair was instantly revived and feeling and looking back to its former glory.
2. Olay – Regenerist Luminous moisturiser.
I have been using this Olay cream since it was sent to me late last year and while i can’t comment on its claim to improve the tone of your skin it certainly has become my go to product to inject a super dose of moisture before bed. Upon waking my skin feels soft and smooth and refreshed
3. Josie Maran Argan Oil
For an extra boost of moisture a thin layer of Argan oil on my face and décolletage has helped to hide the little bit of post sun peeling and nourish the new skin underneath.
4. Sukin facial scrub
As mentioned, despite my conscientious efforts to protect my skin from the sun, sometimes a little sunburn happens. My shoulders received a little more sun than they should have and are now ever so slightly peeling. This facial scrub from Sukin contains no nasties and is a physical exfoliant that can gently slough away the dead skin.
5. LUSH African Paradise body conditioner
This is very new (my LUSH post is coming) to my collection and is an in shower body moisturiser which works just like a hair conditioner to soften and moisturise the skin after cleansing. It smells of dessert and leaves your skin feeling and smelling heavenly.
