Rimmel Provocalips 16 hour kiss proof
Hi guys!
I’m here today to show you swatches of the newly released Rimmel Provocalips 16 hour kiss proof There are 8 great shades that range from neutrals to brights and some real deep shades.
My favourites actually tended to be the lighter neutrals such as skinny dipping and dare to pink which is a real change for me as I’m someone who usually wears pinks and reds.
The lighter shades pictured below are easy to apply and pretty much idiot proof. A swipe of colour using the doe foot wand and wait for it to dry a moment before applying the candy scented top coat. The top coat isn’t very glossy but does make the lips look more moist and gets rid of the slight tackiness that occurs once the colour dries. Scroll down to see some of the darker shades to see what they look like without the topcoat.
Skinny Dipping looks quite brown in the tube but on the lips is a pretty and sheer nude shade that has a touch of silver sheen to it. I was surprised that I liked this one as much as I did. It looks just like a lipgloss except its really long wearing.
Again, this shade “Make your move” looks a bit strange in the tube but gorgeous on the lips. This is a great 90s inspired shade.
Dare to pink is a classic nude pink, it is a little paler than I usually wear but nude pink wearers will love it. It is more opaque and creamy in nature than the shades above and looks like a creamy lipstick except its extremely long wearing.
Ill call you is a mid toned pink which is also creamy and fairly opaque. IF youre after a simple pink pout for day time wear then this is the shade for you.
The darker shades of the Rimmel Provocalips 16 hour kiss proof lipcolors are a little more difficult to apply as they are just so pigmented that can get messy around the edges, For the purpose of these swatches I did not use a liner but I probably will in future.
Kiss Fatale is not as dark and vampy on the lips as it looks in the tube. On the lips it is a shade that is somewhere between mauve and burgundy.
Play with fire was another of my faves, in this shot I have intentionally left the top coat off so you see what it looks like before the top coat is applied. The colour settles in liplines and can look slightly patchy but once the top coat is applied this seems to disappear. Play with fire is a deep shade of red.
Kiss me you fool is a brighter shade of red and is the one I had most trouble with just because it was so pigmented ad bright. NO doubt with a little liner and a steady hand this one will look gorgeous (this one was the last one I swatched and I was getting a little impatient at this point) Again this is without the topcoat, when the topcoat is applied all streaks seem to disappear.
Little Minx is gorgeous. It is a bright but deep pink shade that is a real pop of colour. THis is the one I road tested for the 16 hours.
Little Minx is bright and glossy at first application
As you can see the colour lasted well all day despite eating and drinking and even being face down on a massage table for an hour. There was a little wear on the inside of my lips, but for the most part it looked great every time I reapplied the top coat (twice in the 16 hours)
Removing the colour was easy with a little oily makeup remover. Micellular water did not remove it fully.
These are worth a try, theyre as good as many of the other long wear lipcolours but at a lower pricepoint. At the time of publishing they are actually on sale at Priceline.
Thanks to CotyPR for sending these through for my consideration.
