Max Factor Colour Elixir Gloss. Polished Fuchsia and Lustrous Sand
Today I’m reviewing a new formula of lip gloss from Max Factor. I was sent two shades, Polished Fuchsia and Lustrous Sand, the shade names already promise super shiny lips with rich colour.
The packaging on these is gorgeous with a slimline, squared glossy tube with simple gold lettering and a gold lid. There is a doe foot applicator on the end of a long wand.
In the tube these shades look like a deep pink red and a standard neutral. There a fairly strong but pleasant marshmallowey scent.
On the lips though.. wow! They come to life with sheer glossy colour.
What looks like a deep reed pink is actually a sheer bright fuchsia pink. Polished Fuchsia is amazing… its a colour that i will wear again and again. Its moderately pigmented and smooth on the lips and rivals some of the best lip glosses I’ve ever used.
Lustrous sand is creamy and slightly more pigmented on the lips. There is a a very slight gold shimmer to this shade as well
These are so buttery smooth on the lips, and without a hint of tackiness or streakiness. I was seriously surprised at the consistency as when i had swatched them earlier they seemed sticky on my arm. But i was mistaken.
I will wear Polished Fuchsia with just an outline of smudged lip liner to help keep it all nice and neat. As with most polishes the wear time is moderate but the rich pink pigment of Polished Fuschia gives it longer wear time than Lustrous Sand.
