Mini nail tutorial – Sally Hansen Triple Shine Mermaid Nails!
Step 1 – Get yourself prepared by placing all the items you need and sitting down somewhere comfortably. For this look you will need the following supplies.
– Sally Hansen Triple Shine nail polish in the following colours; dive in, oyster bar and fanta-sea
– Nail File
– Nail Polish remover
– Fine dotting tool or toothpick
– Sally Hansen big shiny topcoat
– Small paint brush
Remove all old nail polish and shape your nails to the desired length
Step 2 – Using the shade dive in apply two thin coats of polish on all nails except for one that will be your accent nail (In this tutorial I have made my ring finger the accent). Paint the accent nail with two coats of the shade oyster bar
Step 3 – Once the polish has dried use a tool such as a tooth pick or fine dotting tool to apply an irregular “fish scale” pattern on your accent nail in the shade dive in. This will take a steady hand however if you’re worried about it being a bit messy like mine, you can also make a wave pattern or use tape to do something a little different. Although this looks hard, with practice you should get the hang of it (this was my first time so be gentle)
Step 4 – Apply a coat of glitter polish over all the nails except for the accent in the shade fanta-sea which has both silver and blue glitter particles in it and adds a magical touch to the manicure. If you’re a real glitter fiend you can add a second coat of glitter to your nails.
Step 5 – Seal your manicure with a glossy topcoat such as Sally Hansen Big Shiny topcoat and use a small brush and some nail polish remover to clean up any mistakes and messy edges!
