New from NARS! The NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment lipsticks have just hit shelves in Mecca Maxima and I was instantly drawn to the promise of long wear and weightless feel. So I decided to pick up the shade “Walk this way” to try out.

The latest addition to the NARS family comes in an elegant square shaped tube, featuring a soft touch material on the lid and a frosted plastic body. The tube has a clear window to reveal the colour of the product inside.

Walk this way is a soft, warm pink shade that sort of leans towards a muted peach and is the sort of shade i would feel comfortable wearing with most looks and outfits.

The NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment lipsticks feature a really nice wand. The slimline doe foot applicator features a tapered tip for precision (carving out a defined  lip line was really easy) but also features flattened edges to help disperse the product smoothly and evenly over the lips.

The formula itself was extremely thin but incredibly opaque at one swipe and the applicator definitely holds more than enough product to coat the entire lips in a fully opaque layer of product without having to dip in again.

After a few minutes the products dries down and sets to be a beautiful velvet to matte look without looking or feeling dry. The lips stay ever so slightly tacky, and so the formula is not entirely kiss proof but transfer is minimal (nothing is left behind on a glass)
